History of Highland Federal
Highland Federal, which celebrated our 50th birthday on January 16, 2011, still specializes in "what we started out doing------helping people own their homes and securing their financial future through FDIC insured* deposit products." For the past 50 years, our mission has been to encourage home ownership in the Cumberland County area. Home buyers have come to rely on savings associations as the reliable source for mortgage money, and "we want to continue earning that public confidence."

From a small office in the corner of the Will-Nell building to our 10,000 square foot facility located at 106 South Main Street and our branch office located in the Village Green Mall at Fairfield Glade, Highland Federal has grown and prospered with the rapidly expanding Cumberland County area. Although our face has changed with progress, many things have remained the same. We are still the only home owned and home operated savings and loan in the Cumberland County area and our primary focus is SERVICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS. Every decision that is made and every product we offer is evaluated from your prospective, the customer. We have and always will strive to give the best and friendliest service to each and every customer who walks through our doors. As you come in, we will offer you a cup of coffee and a cookie and sit down to discuss your mortgage and deposit needs. We are eager to listen and well prepared to offer solutions to all of your financial needs.
