WIRE TRANSFER INSTRUCTIONS  
   

Wiring funds is a safe and convenient way to transfer money.  Wires out must be done in person at our Main Office.  You may want to call ahead at (931) 484-6178 or email us at Accounting@HighlandFederal.com so we can make sure you have all the information we need to properly send your wire.

MASTERCARD - MoneyMaster Debit/ATM Card  
   

We proudly offer a MasterCard  MasterMoney Debit/ATM card.  This card can be used instead of writing checks or carrying cash.  The MasterCard  MasterMoney Debit/ATM card works like a check because it is deducted from your checking account but has the convenience of a credit card.  MasterCard is widely accepted, so whether you are shopping online, pumping gas, or just needing some quick cash, this card lets you do all this and more.  The MasterCard MasterMoney Debit/ATM card is available with most of our checking accounts, with no annual fee. To obtain a MasterCard Master MoneyDebit/ATM card you will need to come in to one of our offices and see an Account Representative for an application.  The application will be reviewed for approval based on your account relationship and history.

STOP PAYMENT INFORMATION  
   

A stop payment will need to be done in person at either our Main Office or our Fairfield Glade Branch Office.  A stop payment can be placed over the phone, but you must come in the Main Office within 14 days and sign the stop payment agreement.

OVERDRAFT PRIVILEGE  
   

As an additional benefit to your checking account, if your account has been open for at least thirty (30) days, and thereafter you maintain your account in good standing, which includes at least:

 
 
A)   Bringing your account balance to a positive balance within every thirty (30) day period for a minimum period of 24 hours;
B)   Not being in default on any loan or other obligation to Highland Federal Savings and Loan Association and
C)   Not being subject to any legal or administrative order or levy
 
   

Highland Federal Savings and Loan may offer you a $100.00 overdraft privilege.  Overdraft privilege is not a line of credit.  This means that should you inadvertently overdraw your account we have the discretion to cover your overdrafts up to $100.00 after first subtracting the amount of the overdraft  fee(s) as outlined in the Discretionary Overdraft Privilege Policy.  When your items are paid, this service will help save you the embarrassment and inconvenience of a returned item as well as the fee normally charged to you by merchants for items returned to them.  Although the amount of Discretionary Overdraft Privilege will not be shown in your available balance, it may be available to you for ATM cash withdrawals, telephone, Internet banking and when you use your debit card for purchases at retail merchants. Eligible customers may be considered for increased Overdraft Privilege limits after 60 days of satisfactory account history.

 
   

Should an overdraft item be created by check, in person withdrawal, ATM withdrawal or other electronic means, your account will be charged the standard NSF fee of $28.00 for handling each item even if paid by the discretionary overdraft privilege service.  This is the same fee that Highland Federal Savings and Loan Association charges for items drawn against insufficient funds and returned to the payee.  If multiple items are presented against your account on the same day, each item will be assessed the NSF fee.

 
   

This service is offered as an additional benefit of doing business with Highland Federal Savings and Loan.  It is our pleasure to make this courtesy available to you as a means of expressing our appreciation for the confidence you have placed in Highland Federal Savings and Loan Association by entrusting us with your financial relationship.  Please remember the Overdraft Privilege service is not an agreement for Highland Federal Savings and Loan to pay your overdrafts and we may withdraw this privilege at any time.  Payment of any overdrafts will continue to be at the discretion of Highland Federal Savings and Loan and payment of an overdraft does not obligate us or create an agreement or course of dealing on our part to allow overdrafts on any occasion.
